A designer with twelve years of experience building innovative products and interactions.
I see a huge need for leaders with multi-faceted problem-solving skillsets–complete with technical savvy, design intuition, relationship building, storytelling, product vision, and more. This is where my passion lies: in leading teams to solve complex, impactful, interdisciplinary challenges.
I have a diverse set of experiences and interests and love challenging myself through learning. Having worked in engineering, product, strategy, business development, and design, in software and hardware, in startups and established companies, and in enterprise and consumer, I use my multi-disciplinary background to understand what makes companies successful and to apply those learnings to my endeavors. I thrive when working on future innovations and love applying emerging technologies to impactful, real-life problems.
I graduated from Stanford University with a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering with a depth in Mechatronics. I also have a B.S. in Product Design Engineering from Stanford. I hold 35+ patents (U.S. and international) in Consumer Electronics, IoT, and Interactions.
This website is a sampling of my work. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about my experience, feel free to contact me at ninasj@gmail.com.
P.S. I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen, playing board games, DIY crafting, and dancing Balboa and Lindy Hop and share some of that on my Up As I Go blog.
